how hard is a job in ai? how much maths is it? could i as a webshitter mediocre frontend chad without a computer science degree pivot? there's some two year programs in my country for it, thinken of applying.

Ok so I know the "basics" of java and kinda how to apply them when i'm given simple problems, what's the next step to learning? I've heard you're supposed to build your own stuff but idk what to build everything sounds either too simple or way too complicated and out of my reach, and I supposed to go for the latter and just google my way through it?
