Why were 64 bit CPUs such a big deal in 2003 when Nintendo already mass-produced them in 1996?

I think Go is the best compiled programming language in history.
I feel like I can do anything I desire with it and the code will almost write itself, it is that intuitive.
More importantly, I can pause a project for months and when I come back I will immediately understand what I have been doing before.

Launch a website without DDOS protection and your site will get attacked. But my question is, WHO is behind all these random ddos attacks on small sites?
Like even sites with no traffic gets ddos, for what reason?
