It's a Vox AD100VT put into a Torpedo Captor 8 (the whole bedroom musician loop).
I haven't used my amp for a couple of months because I took time to buy new jack cables. I tried turning it on a couple of days ago now with new jacks but the amp did weird and weak noises with a burnt smell. I figured it might have been dust so I took the preamp apart, cleaned the dust inside and checked the circuitry, no problem so I hoped it wouldn't act weird anymore. Now I put the amp back on, put it on 100W, tweaked the knobs, played a few notes and it sounded great, but the output volume didn't satisfy me so I raised the volume knob and that's when the amp just shut down on the spot.
What is it?
Is it a fuse or resistor that burnt?
Is it the tube that's fucked?
Is karma a bitch?
Who do I bring this 30kg motherfucker to to solve my issue? I don't want to do it myself, I have DIY skills but fuck that (unless it's an easy fix).
