I built pic rel, a Wien bridge oscillator. I used 10nF caps because that's what I had. If I switch the two nominally identical caps, it won't oscillate. How can I make it more manly and less gay? Does it need a higher startup gain and a lamp or diode thingy to automatically lower the gain?

I dont mean a laptop you can use for anything useful for 40 years since it will become outdated no matter what..
What I mean to ask is, is there a laptop that refuses to die in use? For this thread we will not care about what the usage is.
Dying GPUs will be a problem. Dying fans will be a problem if not possible to replace it.
Therefore something with no Nvidia/ATI GPU and also without a fan would be ideal candidate.
Is such a thing possible? Yes it is.
Laptops from early 1990s? Maybe immortal but dunno for sure, I got a 486 laptop without anykind of fan but its 100MB HDD died and seems impossible to find replacement.
Laptop from 2002? I got a IBM A31p but the screen died. Otherwise ok. It has 2GHz Pentium 4 which probably runs hot but the fan never died anyway. It had seen immense use 2003 to 2013, weekly use if not daily.
IBM 40 series laptops will have dying memory slots so it aint as good.
However IBM T42p do not have dying memory slots, instead it has ATI FireGL GPU which is equivalent of Radeon 9600 on desktop use. Its quite a formidable GPU for an old laptop. I dont know if the GPU can die, I have never seen it die, its fan did not die either. The CPU is immortal because it is Pentium M, Pentium M will work even if fan dies, but then it runs at minimum 400MHz instead of going up for 1600MHz due to being constantly too hot without a fan.
Lenovo T61p/W500 mobile workstation models had faulty Nvidia GPUs which will die eventually. Otherwise it would be solid laptop model.
