Excuse me?>learning how to cook like a chef
You didn't learn to cook when you were a teenager? How do you feed yourself, how come you talk about being a grown up, but instead all I hear is that you are spending your free time learning how to take basic care of yourself.>getting ahead at work (getting mo' money, mo' problems)
Yeah, working is your free time. Nice answer.>having decent convos with real friends>social life and games are completely separate, it's not like you can do one or the other or sometimes both.>drinking
WOW such a grown up. tell me billy you also grown up enough to be smoking in your free time?>travelling (the world)
Yeah, gaming and that don't mix, your choice when you decide to enjoy one or the other.>Gaming is cool. Time enjoyed isn't wasted. But as you get older, you appreciate different things - imaginary points on a screen don't mean as much as they used to.
It's in the same class as a book, as a movie, as arts or crafts or spending time thinking on a puzzle of theory. It's a pleasant diversion, which sole purpose is to enjoy yourself.
Any way I can respect people who just enjoy other stuff more, or just don't have free time. But if your sole reason for not playing games is "its kids stuff, I'm an adult" then it's shallow, like a teenager who is trying to act grown up.
